Interstate 35 is the main thoroughfare through Greater Waco. This north-south freeway has been called the "Main Street of Texas," and it certainly connects our city with Dallas to the north and Austin to the south.

Loop 340 surrounds Waco and connects to Highway 6 giving travelers an outlet to the beautiful hill country to the west and the blackland prairie to the east.

Highway 84, also known as Waco Drive, runs from the southwest side of town to the northeast, although directional designations are E. Waco Drive and W. Waco Drive.

Highway 77 also detours into Waco off of Highway 6 and runs northeast to Corsicana.

Other major thoroughfares in town are Lakeshore Drive, where drivers can enjoy a scenic view of Lake Waco, and Valley Mills Drive, which cuts through town from Interstate 35 to the lake.
