United Way of Waco-McLennan County has been touching lives across the country for more than a century by inspiring people to make a difference and serving as a community-based fund-raiser.

An umbrella organization for 20 human services agencies locally, United Way of Waco-McLennan
County meets critical needs in our Greater Waco community.

Those needs are never in short supply as agencies step up to provide health care, advocacy programs, childcare, food and shelter, life skills development, transitional housing and emergency services to more than 40,000 people.

The goal for the 2007 United Way campaign is $2.2 million, but United Way is more than just a fund-raising catalyst.

United Way also supports youth and family organizations such as the YMCA – Doris Miller Branch, Central Texas Youth Service, Camp Fire USA – Tejas Council and Girl Scouts – Bluebonnet Council.
