Celebrating the work of Caritas to provide emergency assistance to the disadvantaged in Central Texas. Caritas provides aid to those who do not have enough of life’s basics such as food, clothing, household needs and medicine. A United Way agency, Caritas also depends on support from individuals, businesses, churches and numerous community organizations.
The event features a simple meal of bread and soup to help attendees empathize with the struggles of those affected by poverty or crisis. No tickets are required. Participants are invited to make donations in the amount of a meal at a nice restaurant. The meal will be provided by Poppa Rollo’s Pizza and Schmaltz’s Sandwich Shop.
