It’s not only easy to reach Waco, but it’s easy to get around once you’re here. Located about halfway between Dallas and Austin, Waco is convenient to travelers and a straight shot on Interstate 35.
Highway 6 crosses Interstate 35, and Highway 84, known as Waco Drive inside the city, is a major east and west highway.
The proposed Trans-Texas Corridor, a high-use, statewide network that will incorporate existing and new highways, high-speed commuter rail, freight railways and utilities, would bring further economic development to Greater Waco. The plan has the corridor paralleling I-35 in McLennan County.
